The Gospel and Sound Collective exists to produce music for the church that is theologically faithful, emotionally honest, innovative and creative that highlights the transformative power of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Not only does the Gospel and Sound Collective exist to provide (both printed and recorded) worship music resources for the church, but we are eager to connect with the church community both locally and abroad. 

Here are some of the ways you can connect with us further:

  • Songwriters and musicians who may be Interested in writing, recording or collaborating with the Gospel and Sound Collective. We are always looking for other creatives to incorporate in our music-making process in order to continue to expand our catalogue of music across all musical genres. Please let us know if you would like to be considered for future musical collaborations or would like us to discuss featuring your music in our musical resources catalog!

  • Commission new songs,  arrangements or re-harmonizations of old songs/hymns. Do you or your church have a special event coming up where you would like to feature a new song on a certain topic, explore an old song in a different style/genre, etc let us know! Commissions are encouraged and we would love to discuss things further with you! Please connect with us via the email/contact page below.

  • GSC Songwriters Group. This is a special opportunity for DALLAS- FORTWORTH area FEMALE SONGWRITERS and MUSICIANS. If you would like to know more information- send us a message to be considered to attend our next event (limited availability due to space). 

  • Host an event for Gospel and Sound Collective: If you are an establishment or church in the area who would be interested in hosting a songwriting event, worship night or something similar, please also let us know! We would love to connect with you about becoming a regular part of this growing fellowship.

The Gospel and Sound Collective creates theologically rich, genre-blending music that reflects the diversity of the global Church. Through collaborative artistry and high-quality musical resources, we equip worship leaders to lead vibrant, biblical, and Spirit-filled worship that glorifies God. 

OUR VISION

Our goal is to help grow, innovate and rejuvenate the worship experience of local churches by offering abundant fresh musical resources to worship leaders, pastors and fellow musicians. This includes a continually expanding catalog of new worship songs, reharmonizations and new arrangements of old hymns.

Hannah
Koehrsen

Founder & Recording Artist

Hannah Koehrsen, founding member and CEO of the Gospel and Sound Collective is a New Jersey/Southern Pennsylvania native. She grew up in a Christian home with both parents heavily involved in leadership roles in the church. She began studying the piano at the age of 5 and continued developing her love of music in the exploration of multiple genres and musical endeavors, masterfully entwining elements of Jazz, Funk and Gospel into a cohesive and unique voice.

A prolific songwriter and raised in the church (a pastor’s kid) she has grown increasingly passionate about writing music specifically for the church and corporate worship since the first time she had the privilege of leading worship for her church at the age of 16. 

With dual degrees in Bible studies and gradate diploma from Westminister Theological Seminary in Biblical Counseling, Hannah incorporates her great wealth of biblical knowledge and theology into her songwriting. With a unique gift for weaving biblical Truth with impactful melodies and rivetingly complex harmonies, she seeks to connect bib local counseling and compelling songwriting into one.

Hannah currently resides in Dallas, Texas, raising her three children with her husband Greg. Outside of her ambitious musical endeavors Hannah leads an active lifestyle with an equal passion for health and fitness. She enjoys hiking, cooking, homeschooling her three children… oh, and COFFEE!

Valerie
Vuolo

Producer/Engineer & Recording Artist

Valerie Vuolo is a multifaceted musician and audio professional who has made significant contributions to the Gospel and Sound Collective (GSC) as a founding member. An accomplished audio engineer, producer, and professional violinist, Valerie has played a key role in translating Hannah’s artistic visions into reality through her dedication and expertise. Her passion for music began at the age of four, inspired by her mother, (a professional concert violinist) and has since evolved into a dynamic career spanning diverse genres and disciplines. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance from The University of Hartford (The Hartt School of Music) and continues to prioritize regular education and development in a field that is constantly shifting with innovative technology.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Valerie now resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she works from her studio, continuing to innovate and collaborate in the music industry both locally and abroad.

Ellen
Dykas

Coach for Biblical Clarity and Application

Ellen serves as the Director of Equipping for Ministry to Women for Harvest USA (www.harvestusa.org), and loves to teach God's word and mentor others to know and love Jesus. Hannah and Ellen met back when they were attending Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Ellen’s role in the GSC is reading and evaluating the lyrics and making sure that they are biblical, Christ-centered, and focused on the heart.
